INTERSTATE TRIATHLON

The School Sport Australia Triathlon Championships incorporating the Aquathlon has the below age categories. 

(Age is as of 31 December in the year of competition)

Triathlon and Aquathlon 
Juniors – 13/14 years (born 2013/2012)
Intermediates – 15/16 years (born 2011/2010)
Seniors – 17/18/19 years (born 2009/2008/2007)

Aquathlon
11 Years (born 2015)
12 Years (born 2014)

Nominations Due Date:
Aquathlon: Monday 1 December 2025
Triathlon: Monday 1 December 2025

COSTS

Triathlon Tour Cost
Please be advised that if selected:

The total cost of the Championship is estimated at $1000 (this does not include any flights or accommodation), less fund raising.

Aquathlon Tour Cost
Please be advised that if selected:
The cost of a HOME or AWAY CHAMPIONSHIP will be up to $800

Travel Model
The School Sport WA preferred travel model is for students to travel and accommodate with their parent/guardian.  Flights have been booked for team officials and their flight information will be provided at the parent information meeting.

Any variation to this model will be communicated at the initial trial

ELIGIBILITY

Triathlon:
To be eligible for selection, nominees must:

• Be a full time student at a DoE recognised educational institution
• Be 13/14, 15/16 or 17/19 by the 31st December in the year of the competition

Aquathlon*:
To be eligible for selection, nominees must:

• Be a full time student at a DoE recognised educational institution
• Be 11 or 12 by the 31st December in the year of Interstate competition

*Note – Selected athletes will be required to travel and accommodate with a parent or nominated guardian.
