The Secondary Futsal competitions will be run in Terms 1/2 and 4 in 2026.
Schools please note:
- These dates and times are subject to stadium availability. There may be changes at short notice. This may mean that you do not receive your preferred option. Please read information carefully when received and get back to Tony Carvajal on 0450 742 636 as soon as possible if there is an issue.
- Nominate as soon as you are able as spots fill up quickly. Once the regions are full schools will be placed on a waiting list in case of cancellations.
- If the Peel Regions do not have adequate numbers those schools that have nominated will be advised and placed in the Southern Region.

Finals Structure:
Regional Championships
If there are only enough teams to make one group for the age group, it will be played as a Round Robin with the Champions and Runner-Up attending the States (unless otherwise stated by the Coordinator).
If there are enough teams to make two groups for the age group there will be a Grand Final with the Champions and Runner-Up attending (unless otherwise stated by the Coordinator).
State Championships
Each of the State Championship Finals will have 8 teams competing in a knockout competition.
There will be a Quarter Final, Semi Final and Grand Final for each Girls and Boys Championship.
Games will consist of 2×15 minute halves. Penalties will be used to decide each game if they end in a draw.
Referees:
Junior and Intermediate Regional Championships:
Schools are welcome to take student referees to the Championships. They will be mentored and supported by the experienced personnel present at the Championships and the attending referees will include them as the second referee on court.
Official Referees will officiate at the Junior Boys and Girls State Championships.
Senior Championships:
Official Referees will officiate at all Senior Boys and Girls Regional and State Championships.
Qualified Trainer:
A qualified trainer will be present at each Regional and State Championship.
Please Note: Regional Championships first games begin by approximately 9:30am and Finals games and presentations end by approximately 3:00pm. It’s important that this is taken into account when organising transport so that we don’t begin the championships late as this affects our finishing time and of course the possibility of missing your bus.
