KEY INFORMATION
School Sport WA, in conjunction with UWA LittleĀ Athletics Club, will be conducting a āChampion of Championsā athletic carnival for all primary school students who were champions at their respective Interschool Carnivals.
- The winners, in the relevant events,Ā atĀ each Interschool Carnival will be invited to nominate through the SSWA website.
- A Parent/Guardian will need to attend the event with the student.
- The athlete will be representing their school and should wear their school uniform.
- All track events will be run as straight finals
- Long Jump,Ā Turbo Javelin and Shot Put will be best result overall.
- Medals will be awarded to the top three place-getters in each age group in each event.
- This is a twilight event commencing at 5.00pm
PROGRAM
Sprints (80m for Year 4 students) and 100m (Year 5 and 6)
Middle Distance (200m Years 4-6)
Middle Distance (400m for Year 4s) and 800m (Year 5 and 6s)
Long Distance (1500m Years 3-6)
Long Jump (Years 4-6)
Turbo Javelin -(300 gramsĀ Years 4-6)
Shot Put – (2kg Years 4-6)
There is a 1500m race for year 3 students.Ā They are also eligible to compete in the year 4 events, this will be against the year 4s.
In the event of a timing clash with a Field and Track event, athletes are to leave the Field event to complete their Track event and then return to the complete their Field event.

FURTHER INFORMATION
Note: Schools who have not had their Track and Field Carnival prior to the nomination closing date will have the opportunity to extend an invitation to students they identify as suitably talented.
Spikes: Year 3 and 4 athletes cannot wear spikes, year 5 and 6 athletes can.
